هویت حقیقی گل رز در طبیعت است. 

آنجا که میان بوته‌ها ناشناخته باقی مانده.

 وقتی چیده و به کسی تقديم می‌شود، 

حقیقت خود را از دست داده 

و معنای جدید پیدا کرده، 

همه‌ی انسانها گل رز را با گل رز را 

با معنای ساختگی و ذهنی اش میشناسند،

در طبیعت گل رز میمیرد، 

اماگلبرگهای پژمرده ی آن بخشی از طبیعت میشوند، 

با این حال هیچکس

 توان دیدن گلهای خشک شده‌ی 

داخل گلدان را ندارد! 

پس گل را خشک میکنند تا یاد آوار زیبایی قدیمی اش باشد؛ 

اما فراموش میکنند 

که این گل که خشک کرده اند 

جنازهٔ آراسته‌شدهٔ 

آن گُل اصلی است-بیل
